BOYS WRESTLING POST-SEASON!!! On Saturday, the boys wrestled at Greenfield High School in the new process to qualify for the State Wrestling Tournament. We went to Greenfield with 9 wrestlers that believed they could qualify for the State Tournament, and it showed! From the first whistle of the day, until literally the last...the boys wrestled with intensity and desire. The results are: Hunter Konkol - 4-0, 1st place and State Qualifier. Mason Yauck - 1-3, scored important team points. Sam Schlueter - 4-2, 3rd place. Spencer Prado - 4-0, 1st place and State Qualifier. Milo Knuth - 3-2, 4th place. Braden Daley - 4-0, 1st place and State Qualifier. Noah Flemming - 2-3 on the day. Eans Prado Jr - 3-1, 2nd place and State Qualifier. Omarion Dennis - 5-1, 2nd place and State Qualifier.
With all the quality wrestling of the above mentioned individuals the Boys team qualified for the Team Sectionals tournament hosted by South Milwaukee.Throughout the day, many opposing coaches approached coaches from Kettle Moraine and mentioned how tough all the boys were. The boys have an amazing opportunity to continue as a team for the right to wrestle for a TEAM STATE TITLE. At the sectional tournament the Boys are seeded 3rd and will face off against West Allis Central High School and the winner will face Muskego. We have officially launched our State Tournament Store! All qualifiers (Boys and Girls) will be listed on the back. Please share the link with family and friends:
https://sportsworld.chipply.com/kmgirlssectionals26. On Sunday we are hosting our annual Drop the Hammer youth tournament which is a HUGE fundraiser for our program. Again, if you are able to help out with set-up, running, or clean-up on Sunday we would love your support.

GIRLS WRESTLING POST-SEASON!!! KM hosted the Girls Regional Tournament on Friday night with 9 teams in the middle gym fighting for the right to advance to Sectionals at KM this Friday evening. While we only brought 3 girls, we were still able to take 4th place as a team and advance 2 girls for the right to continue the journey to wrestle at the State tournament in Madison. Taking 3rd place and just missing Sectionals was Zoey Pangborn, taking second place was Reagan Maggio, and taking first with 2 pins was Brooke Williamson. While it is very exciting for both Brooke and Reagan to qualify for State out of their own building, it does take an army of volunteers. If you are able to help out, please let me know and we will find a spot for you. We have officially launched our State Tournament Store! All qualifiers (Boys and Girls) will be listed on the back. TEN PUBLISHED ARTISTS, AUTHORS, AND POETS!!! The Kettle Moraine School District is proud to announce that ten students have been selected for publication in the 2025-2026 Southern Lakes Advanced Learner’s Network (SLALN) Anthology. For nearly 40 years, SLALN has provided this prestigious platform for young creators across Southeastern Wisconsin to showcase their talents in prose, poetry, art, cartoons, and expository writing. This year’s theme, "The Journey," drew a massive response from the region. Out of over 40 participating school districts, a staggering 875 total entries were submitted for regional judging. The selection process was incredibly rigorous: each district was limited to a curated selection of just 24 entries, and ultimately, only 44% of those regional submissions were awarded publication. “The joy of self-expression abounds, but submitting work to be judged adds a level of risk and vulnerability not everyone is ready to take," reflected DeeDee Jacobsen, the district’s Gifted & Talented Coordinator. "We are incredibly proud of the 85 students who took the leap this year with such phenomenal entries; seeing ten of them reach this level of regional recognition is truly inspiring.”

DECA COMPETITION!!! KM DECA competed at the district level competition Saturday and Emily Garvin shared their experience: At the event, students participated in role-play scenarios, using creativity and problem-solving skills to develop and present a solution to judges. To qualify for the state competition, individuals or partnership must place in the top three of their event, based on a composite score that combines role play performance and test scores. The KM DECA chapter walked away with success, with six individuals and three partnerships advancing to the next level. Several other individuals and partnerships also earned medals for achieving high scores on their role play or exam. Our students gained real-world skills such as communication and professionalism in a business environment. Overall, the competition was a fun and rewarding experience.
