KM BASEBALL RANKED SECOND IN STATE!! The Preseason Power 25 Countdown has KM leading the Classic 8 for 2024 as the No. 2-ranked team in the state, They mention the amount of talent coming back and an impressive 2023 record. SHREDDING FUNDRAISER!!! The UPS Store in Delafield, along with several other sponsors, will be hosting a fundraising event in support of the Kettle Moraine High School Booster Club on Saturday, April 27 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Nagawaukee Shopping Center Parking Lot. Participants may drop off 10 lbs. of shredding at no cost. Each additional pound of shredding may be accepted with a minimum $1.50 per pound suggested donation. We can shred office paper and file folders. We cannot shred cardboard, plastics, hazardous materials, CDs/DVDs, x-rays, common trash, magnetic media, computers & accessories.

Since it first hatched in 1993, Stiles & Drewe's musical, Honk!, has winged its way around the world in over 8,000 productions and in many different languages. Winner of multiple awards, including the 2000 Olivier Award for Best Musical, this heartwarming celebration of being different is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit and memorable score. Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother's protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be. GREAT TRACK MEET!!! Recently the boys and girls HS Track & Field teams competed at the Nelson Daniels Invite at UW Whitewater. Both teams earned a 2nd place finish out of 24 teams, our highest finish ever at the ND Classic. While there were many great performances during the day, 3 events highlighted the Lasers success. On the boys side the 4x800 relay had a phenomenal comeback win on the anchor leg run by Ryan Keller. Keller got the baton in 6th place and came roaring back after the first lap to take the lead heading into the home stretch. On the girls side the 4x200 and 4x400 relays ran into the record books. The 4x200 took second overall but set the indoor school record with a 1:50.28. (Ranked 3rd in the state) In the 4x400 relay the girls crushed the field cruising to victory with a school record time of 4:10.97. This time currently ranks them 2nd in the state! Well done athletes!! Other top performers were: Noah Hait in the 55m Keegan Lodes in the 55hurdles currently 6th in state, high jump, long jump Isaah Crothers in the 400m Kylee Zell in the shot put Alison Abhold in the shot put Hasely Schultz in the shot put Grey Rumohr in the shot put Dayne Baker in the shot put Lola Schwartz in the 800 currently Ranked 6th in the state

KMMS AND KMHS JAZZ IN THE KETTLE!! Jazz In the Kettle featured close to a hundred student performers. It was held in the high school auditorium, and showcased KM's strong Jazz program. Performances included the 7th and 8th Grade KMMS Jazz Ensembles, KMHS Jazz Combo, and KMHS Jazz Ensembles I and II. Great work to all of these student performers and instructors!

CUSHING GETS VISIT FROM KMHS STARS!! Coach Mac and two of his players, Nolan and Noah, spent lunch and recess with 4th graders at Cushing Elementary! They helped to reinforce important recess rules, and spoke about expectations and sportsmanship. Coach Mac reminded us that even though we might be on different teams during recess, we're all part of one big team KM. It was a wonderful learning opportunity and the students really responded to their message.

2024 CARSON SCHOLARS!!! Addison Foss (KMHS) has been named for the first time as a Carson Scholar. Addison will win a $1,000 college scholarship as part of her award. Emma Manion (HS^2) and Reese Albert (KMHS) were recognized by the Carson Scholars organization for their continued achievement and humanitarian efforts in our community. They are repeat applicants, so are recognized each year they apply. They do not win a scholarship again, but it says a great deal about these young ladies that they continue that same level of commitment to the organization. The Carson Scholars Fund awards scholars in grades 4-11 who demonstrate the highest standard of academic achievement, integrity, and civic and social responsibility.

THREE KMHS STUDENTS RECEIVE AWARDS FROM OPTIMIST CLUB OF LAKE COUNTRY!!!! Erin Browning, junior in KM Perform took secod place in the Optimist International Essay Contest for the local club level. She submitted an essay on the topic "Optimism: How It Connects Us” and competed against 78 other high school students from the Lake Country area. Erin received a monetary award to go towards her post secondary education. Emma Manion, sophomore in HS^2 took first place and Sydney Loehrl, junior in KMHS took second place for the local club level in the Optimist International Oratorical Contest in Speech where they presented on the topic “How to Change the World with Optimism”. Both students won a monetary award to go towards their post secondary education.
